What is coaching?

Coaching is helping you to get what you want, or to find out what you want if you can not identify it yet. My role is to work alongside you, to ask questions to help you gain clarity and raise your awareness about what you want from life.

Coaches do not give advice or tell you what to do.  I don’t have the answers-you do. The process of coaching helps you to find the answers for yourself.  This is how coaching differs from mentoring, counselling or consulting.

The focus of coaching is to work from the present moment, going forward into the future. I will support you to explore your desires, the challenges you face, and the actions you might take.

Coaching is for anyone who wants to change something in their life. If you’re feeling less than satisfied with your current situation, if you need some help with working out what’s important to you, or if the path to change is unclear, then coaching can help you gain momentum!

How does it work?

Each session we will talk about your goals or actions from the previous session, and how you got on with them. We will look at what you want to achieve and set a process in place for you reaching that, through a series of steps and actions that you decide. You as the client are in control of what you decide and want to do.

Sessions normally take place every week or fortnightly. The minimum number of sessions is usually 6, with more being added as necessary.  These can be face to face, on the telephone or by Skype.
